CHED (Commission on Higher Education) has a scholarship program for the constituents of our congressmen and senators. This is dubbed as the CHED SPECIAL STUDY GRANT PROGRAM FOR CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT/SENATE.
To avail of this, you have to contact your local congressman or one of our senators. The Office of our respective Senators can be reached via phone or email but I strongly suggest you phone them because it takes some days or even weeks to get a reply via email. I don’t know the deadline of the application but definitely it should be prior to June, the beginning of classes.
One of Kiko Pangilinan’s Political Staff replied to my inquiry and that they do provide educational assistance especially to state colleges and state universities.
The Office of Senator Sotto advised to contact Tel. No. 659-5259 and look for Mabel. School and other important credentials should be ready.

Ako po si Ma. Fatima E. Belara na nagtapos nitong Marso 2012. Nais ko po sanang magpatuloy sa pag-aaral kaya lang wala po kaming sapat na kakayanan sa financial. At naniniwala ako na hindi hadlang ang kahirapan sa aking pag-aaral. Kaya po ako’y dumudulog sa inyong tanggapan upang mabigyan ng isang pagkakataon sa aking pag-aaral sa pamamagitan ng scholarship program para sa mga mahihirap na kagaya ko.
Sa katunayan ako po ay kumuha na ng entrance exam sa PUP at ako po ay pinalad at pumasa. Bagama’t ang pinambayad ko dito ay ang naipon ko lang mula sa aking pang araw-araw na baon. At sa iba pang mga requirements na kailangan ko sa kolehiyo. Dahil nais ko po talagang makapag patuloy at makatapos ng pag-aaral upang makatulong sa aking magulang at sa aking mga kapatid. Naniniwala ako sa Poong Maykapal na tutugunin nya ang aking kahilingan. Ano man ang kaniyang ipagkakaloob ay taos puso kong tatanggapin at pasasalamatan.
Kung ako po’y mabibigyan ng pagkakataon na makuhang iskolar ng inyong foundation ay pagsusumikapan kong makatapos ng pag-aaral at upang makatulong din sa mga mahihirap na gaya ko at makatulong din sa inyong foundation.
