TESDA held a FREE national competency assessment and certification exam last March 28 to April 2 at the various TESDA regional centers nationwide. I did not know there was such activity of TESDA until my friend in Butuan told me on Marh 30th. I was busy at school attending my Finals and then had a week of vacay in Mindanao so I had no time visiting websites that I regularly visit such as TESDA’s. I accessed their website right away and learned that this is one of their major event for this year; Free National Competency Assessment and Certification. I have been wanting to take the exam for Bookkeeping Exam Certification NC-III. Last year, the scheduled exam was postponed and I begged off last month because my VL was not approved. This certification seems so elusive!

You guys are now certified on whatever-field-you-have-taken!
Good news to all of us who were not able to take the exam: TESDA will conduct another two batches of exam this year. In June and October. So watch out and review! Even if this is for free it is still better to pass it during the first take.
Among the exams offered are the ff:

- Housekeeping NC II
- Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II
- Automotive Servicing NC II
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II
- Bread and Pastry Production NC II

I think it depends upon the Regional Center what exams to offer so contact TESDA nearest you to check if your desired one is included.

As per my friend who took an exam last March, a passport size picture and a filled application form is required.

After a long wait for schedule, I was able to take the Bookkeeping NC III last July 8 in a TESDA training center in Pasig. I passed it and got my certificate already.

Please inquire TESDA near you. I believe your experience will qualify you to take the exam. Just prepare any proof that you have worked with that position (i.e Certificate of Employment), because they might need it.

I’ve been waiting so long to have someone to ask about TESDA’s certification exam.
I want to be a Certified Bookkeeper. When will be the next certification Exam and where. All the websites of TESDA that I had browsed on were not updated so I really hope that you can help me on this. I want a new career. Im an accountancy gradute for almost three years now. I failed my Board Exam twice. I think I need this certification to have something that I would be proud of myself. Im still planning to be a CPA someday maybe if my heart is ready for another risk.

I truly understand your concern. My suggestion is that you call your TESDA office in your city. Ask them about upcoming schedule for the Bookkeeping exam. Schedules vary in each region.

As what i know, tesda is not offering AutoCAD. You may attend training to companys or institution offering AutoCAD, just like the MicroCAD. After the training, a certifcate of recognization will be given to you. Then, you may inquire from any personnel of the MicroCAD, what are the requirements to be accredited from TESDA the certificate they have given to you.
