GSIS Scholarship Program 2012-2013

GOOD NEWS! (but not-so-good news to those who won’t be eligible hehe)

The Educational Loan Assistance of GSIS is separate from the GSIS Scholarship Program. The agency will no longer raffle off the scholarship but will go through a screen process.

All GSIS members with premium payments of at least 6 months, currently employed in the government with a Salary Grade below 24 are eligible.

Members can nominate scholar but the nominee must be child of the GSIS members and must be an incoming freshman accepted in the schools identified by GSIS.

For list of schools contact GSIS branch near you. Most likely those schools accredited by CHED.

GSIS will prioritize nominees of parents with the lowest grade.

~ 4-5 year course
~ P20,000 Tuition and Miscellaneaous fees
~ P2,000 monthly stipend


~ GSIS application form duly accomplished
~ copy of letter of acceptance/admission to a university/colleged identified by GSIS/CHED
~ certified copy of appointment papers of the parents
~ proof of income of the parents (BIR Form 2316 or employment certificate)

    wat if i had availed a free tuition and miscellanous fee in my school,can i still be a part of accepting the monthly stipend if ever i decided to join?
    moreover,my school is not on their accredited list..

      If your school is not on their list of accredited school then you are not qualified.

    to which region will a nominee belongs if he lives in Bulacan but studies at UE?

    What if I’m not an incoming freshman? Do you think there is any way that I may qualify for this? Thank you.

      I don’t think so but you may get in touch with GSIS near you and see if they could make an exemption.

    the program is great wish my daughter will a teacher from region 12,wish to apply for that scholarship.. but i dont think so if she will qualified since she was enrolled at UIC of University of Immaculate Conception at Davao city… Im a GSIS member…

    I would prefer if it would be a raffle..but now per salary grade na kasi ang basis.
