Last Thursday I went to QC Central Post Office to claim a parcel from an organization in USA. And I got a Bible from them for FREE 
Since the QC City Hall is just a walk away, I decided to drop by at the TESDA Office to get some information about the national competency exam scheduled in June. Unfortunately, it was already lunch break so there was no one to talk to.
Anyway, I saw this post outside the small office about free trainings offered by QC TESDA. You guys might be interested so please call the indicated Telephone Number to check for requirements and procedures.

unfortunately, I was trying to contact these TESDA numbers in Fairview but its either busy, not accessible or fax tone. how can you beat that kind of accommodation.?

Hi, I was scouring the internet for information on Tesda training courses and came across your blog. I really admire your generous spirit in sharing everything you know about the program and encouraging the youth to learn skills and improve their lives.
I have tried to call some of the contact numbers but am getting frustrated. Actually it is for one of our helpers. He has moved back to Leyte and became a fisherman but now that his son has graduated from high school he wants to take a vocational course. I said I am willing to help him out while he studies and he can live with us here in QC. However, I am at a lost on how to go about it. I went through the Tesda website but it is confusing and not very “friendly” actually – so many abbreviated words.
Then today, the lady who comes to launder/iron for us brought her son who just finished high school also. He wants to enroll in a Tesda program but they don’t know how to go about it. So I said perfect timing since I have been researching about it too.
Would appreciate your help please on how to go about it. They already know what courses they want i.e. GMAC/SMAC and Bartending. What’s the next step please? Do they just go and enroll in the schools that offer these courses? Or do they go through a Tesda office. Most of the list on the website charges fees.
Looking forward to your advice please.

I would agree with you. It’s really frustrating sometimes to get to talk to someone from these agencies.
If you want to avail of the FREE training offered by TESDA, you need to get in touch with TESDA-QC [their office is located at the City Hall near the NBI office] to ask what are the available courses they currenty offer for FREE and which schools are hosting this. The type courses vary from time to time. And usually the slot is limited.
For example, a school accredited by TESDA is offering a Bookkeeping course scholarship. They will limit the slots for 20 students. Once they reach this number, they will start the training right away that will last 3-6months. And they [the school] will ask the student to get some forms from TESDA to avail of the said scholarship. TESDA might require some documents from you so be ready. [i.e school report card, birth cert, etc..] This is usually the process among the short term vocation courses.
And not all TESDA accredited schools offer FREE vocational courses.
But if you are willing to shoulder the school expenses of the student and not rely on TESDA’s scholarship, there are many vocational schools in QC that are accredited by TESDA. Vocational courses range from 2 year to 1 year to 6 month courses such as Food and Beverage Services, Bartending, etc.

Make sure to have with you the ff requirements: Barangay Clearance (because this is for QC residents as far as I know), Form 137, diploma. It is an ongoing training program, so they say, with certificates and free…so grab the opportunity.

As of now, only english language is available this year but it was started last september 10 it will finish next week. As I have stated above you should enroll three months before it was started.

Yes, there is a tesda accredited for short courses like food preparation and plating but I’m not sure where it is. Only I posted courses available in our school.

Una, sa brgy may mga ibibaba na training tungkol sa livelihood programs ng tesda in partnership ng pulitiko at training center tulad ng hilot wellness massage, food and beverage nc II (waiter/waitress) at nc III (barista) sa coffee shop, housekeeping (hotel), household (domestic helper) at call center training, wala po kayong babayaran, ang magagastos nyo lang ay sarili nyo po materials. Pangalawa, sa training centers na pang-livelihood at technical ay wala rin pong bayad, ang magagastos nyo lang din ay materials at uniform. Ang mga requirements ay 1×1, passport size at 2×2 pictures, kung high school grad ka form 137 or 138, diploma, nso birth certificate. kung college level ka transcript of records, nso birth cert, kung college graduate ka transcript at diploma, nso birth.

wala na po yung office ng tesda sa city hall, may mga private training center na accredited ng tesda na may cosmetology na libre din ang training.

Sa ISSI Virata Hall, UP Diliman. nag enroll ako dun ng Mechatronics II. kulang pambayad ko, sila pa nagsbi na may free training sa mga tga QC. Kya kumuha lang ako ng baranggay clearance at cert. sa work. Sakripisyo ako kc QC ang training ko pero sa Baclaran ako umuuwi. nangungutang pa ako ng pamasahe kahit biskwit at tubig lang lunch ko mkatapos lang ng training. sila pa naginform sa akin nung may free assessment sa EIM III at naipasa ko naman. ininform din nla ako nung may free training ng Mechatronics III. Nung matapos ko ang training, kaliwat kanan ang tawag sa akin ng mga kompanya. Pati agency tumatawag din kya sa awa ng DIYOS andito ako ngaun sa abroad. sa ngayon po, naka-hold lahat ng trainings na sponsor ng mga pulitiko para magbara-barangay busy sila ngayon sa pangangampanya. mas maganda ikaw na mismo ang pumunta sa training center.
I wast sponsoring a student for getting appliance servicing. He is always asking me money for buying materials for their project. Though I give him but I’m really in doubt. I promise to give him allowance but his asking me for expenses for tesda. Is there really projects that would cost a a student a thousand of money who are enrolled in tesda?
it depends what course did he/she took up, for example biomed course mostly the students buy their materials but they didnt have to buy their own tools since the school provided it.

Hindi na rin po konektado sa brgy namin kaya hindi ko na po alam kung anong meron bagong training na ibaba sa brgy namin. Kaya hindi ko na po lahat masasagot yung mga katanungan nyo po. @dimple. una, magkaron ka muna ng training sa hilot wellness massage, tapos kumuha ka ng assessment pagkanapasa ka may may nc ii ka na tinatawag na license. pwede kitang matulungan dyan dahil meron na rin ako nyan. pangalawa, kumuha ka rin ng massage therapist nc ii (swedish, siatsu, thai, reflexology at accu-pressure) pero ang assessment nyan ay swedish massage lang ang dapat kabisaduhin yung ang oral, practical at written exam. may training din ako nyan pero wala lang akong nc ii kasi hindi ako kumuha ng assessment. pwede kitang matulungan dyan, itext mo sa 09157589997.
@bani07, sa oct pa ang second batch ng biomedical equipment servicing nc ii dahil ang first batch hindi pa tapos nag-start sila ng mar na except lang sa ibang courses ng electronics, computer at electrical sa sep pa ang start dahil kasisimula pa lang ng second batches nya..
